I know this post is off-topic, but I felt I needed to give my own, personal sendoff to Brett Favre. I have watched him play for roughly half of my life and I really don’t know Packer football w/o him. There are not many heroes in professional sports, the kind of men who show they have true grit. Brett has that and it always showed - he was a player you could look up to because he was human yet the world could not keep him down. I almost thought he’d never retire because his drive was so great.
Well, Brett, I will miss you on Sunday. I can’t help but think that, come next fall, all of us in the Packer Nation will feel a hole in Lambeau.
